Overview

Odíhg Ftopùnucukē was founded durring the early 14th century in winter of the year 1334, by Erist Naegle. The establishment of Odíhg Ftopùnucukē was somewhat plagued by a lack of willing colonists, leading to Erist Naegle electing to pay people to resettle in Odíhg Ftopùnucukē.

Odíhg Ftopùnucukē was built using the conventions of Tauric durring the early 14th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Odíhg Ftopùnucukē is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Odíhg Ftopùnucukē is is constructed arround a series of crampt baked earthen mainstreets which form overlapping circles, with smaller strait roads linking the circiles to eachother at varrious points. The town rests behind a thick wall made from clay bricks. The wall has all of the proper fortifications and is well made. Unfortuantly the nature of clay brick leaves it quite vulnerable to siege equipment, though the thickness of the wall lends it simmilar resistnace to a thinner hardrock wall. Astonishigly, the millitarily questionable fortifications are in pristine condishion, as if they had just been finished before you laied eyes upon them.

Odíhg Ftopùnucukē has the unmistakable air of a town on its last legs. Everything is a bit slipshod and ramshackle. Everyone is at work, or drinking. No one has anything in their eyes other than fear and despair. Whatever industry once fueled Odíhg Ftopùnucukē ’s existence has dried up and the town is drifting down the stream of history as it dries up. Even with that as it is, everything is just a little too worn down, a little too dirty, or much of both. The town should be gone, not dying. No one makes eye contact. Kids play quietly, but happily. Occasionally a passerby glances at you out of the corner of their eye, staring just long enough for it to be uncomfortable.

Points of Interest

Odíhg Ftopùnucukē was unknowingly built atop something unstable, and now that substrate is crumbling. It may be swampy ground or a decaying coastline, or it could be an ancient buried city that’s now giving way. In the case of some antique habitation, the denizens that once lived there might be boiling upward as their home is collapsing, or new opportunities may be revealed even as the community’s present structure is ruined.

Odíhg Ftopùnucukē makes use of canals for some of its streets. Locals often fish in the canals.

The details of the conflict are hazy at best due to many conflicting accounts. What is known is Odíhg Ftopùnucukē lost 123 people, 297 livestock, and 31 buildings. The conflict ended after roughly 187, when members of Odíhg Ftopùnucukē's militia enacted an operation to locate a particular solgiers group. The operation was complicated by a trusted officer who turned traitor and defects. The conflict ended with needing to break through the enemy's lines, which ended in a stalemate for Odíhg Ftopùnucukē's forces. The war is remembered in legend by Odíhg Ftopùnucukē's bards, historians, and legend keepers.
